Donald H. Morris, 90, formerly of Hopedale, passed away at 4:15 AM Monday, January 23, 2012 at Lincoln Christian Village in Lincoln.
He was born March 26, 1921 in rural Tremont to Arch and Mayme Grubb Morris. He married Helen Rush on March 4, 1944 in Pekin, and she survives. |
Also surviving are three sons, Jim (Jan) Morris of Hopedale, Rick (Sandy) Morris of Greenwood, IN, and Bob (Carol) Morris of Normal; six grandchildren, Tara (Greg) Hufnagel, Ty (Keri) Morris, Jennifer Morris, Greg Morris, Tanner Morris, and Kelly (Adam) Heissler; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Verna Gleich and Mildred Johns.
Donald farmed for many years in the Hopedale area and was of the Christian faith.
His funeral will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Davis Mortuary in Tremont. Ryan Edgecombe, Chaplain, Lincoln Christian Village will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
