Clinton L. Koch, 78 of Tremont, died at 9:45 PM Friday, March 30, 2007 at his home.
He was born May 25, 1928 in rural Mackinaw to Elmer H. and Cora M. Brenkmann Koch. He married Nola F. Stuber on December 28, 1957 in Tremont, and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Rodney (and Evelyn) Koch of Syracuse, NY, Alex (and Lidia) Koch of Hawthorne, CA, Bradley (and Pamela) Koch of Singapore, and Dirk (and Erika) Koch of Tremont; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Keith (and Lillian) Koch of Tremont and Larry (and Shirley) Koch of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Lindenfelser and Shirley Tiffan.
Clinton worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 38 years in the Planning Department.
In his boyhood days, he worked with his father on their family dairy farm and delivered milk on a retail route in Tremont. He and his sons delivered the Peoria Journal Star newspaper throughout Tremont for four years. In his retirement, he took care of many units of rental property and traveled to visit his children.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953.
Clinton was a member of Tremont Apostolic Christian Church.
His funeral will be at 10:00 AM Thursday April 5, 2007 at Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall, 601 South Chestnut St. Tremont. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont. Davis Mortuary, Tremont Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
